DemyHealth and Genomic Technologies have set up over 30 fully functional biosafety level 2 and level 3 molecular laboratories in Nigeria. In the last two and half years, we have sold and installed 45 PCR machines, 25 automated nucleic acid extractors and many other biotechnology solutions in Nigeria. Sold over 2.5 million Tests of molecular diagnostic kits, research test kits and consumables in Nigeria.
Due to our above industry standard equipment and test kits, our in-house molecular lab developed wide range capabilities and contributed to the existing body of knowledge in the Nigerian infectious disease segment by closing the country’s Hep C genotype testing gap.
DemyHealth’s lab became the first molecular lab in Nigeria to identify mixed Hepatitis C virus infections involving three (3) sero-groups in the Nigerian population—an uncommon feat. This earned us double space to present our findings at the Nigerian Gastroenterology and Hepatology Conference, in August, 2018.
